With so many budget cuts the hard-working residents of Kent County deserve to be protected and offered the continued services that help them live productive and healthy lifestyles. As a Kent County Commissioner, I will advocate for the services that affect our:

  • Respected Seniors
  • Honored Veterans
  • Individuals, Families, and Children
  • Those with Special Needs
  • Fair Affordable Housing
  • Parks & Recreation
  • Access to Mental Health and Healthcare Services
  • Jobs and Business Development

There are many issues that affect each of us as citizens in Kent County.

FAIR, AFFORDABLE HOUSING: Everyone deserves an affordable place to call home.

HEALTHCARE AND MENTAL HEALTH: Healthcare is a right, not a privilege. A healthy community depends on healthy people, we need a universal healthcare system.

JOBS AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: We need to secure the future of our residents. People deserve good-paying jobs and fair wages for the hard work they do.

CLEAN WATER: Our residents deserve clean healthy water...NOW!

On the ballot issues:

On Tuesday, August 7, Wyoming residents will see a request to renew the dedicated public safety millage on the ballot. The specific question asks voters to provide a permanent renewal of the annual levy of 1.25 mills for public safety, specifically for the operation, maintenance and administration of police and fire services in the City of Wyoming. For a homeowner with a $100,000 house, the cost will remain at $62.50 per year. We support this mileage because:

- The mileage has allowed the department to achieve and maintain Gold-Standard CALEA police accreditation, putting the department in the top one percent of law enforcement agencies nationwide.
- Catapulted efforts to visit every school in Wyoming each school day, totaling 5,738 school visits last year
- Fire Dept. decreased response time with new vehicles and new station on Gezon.
